Solano Town Center announced it has completed 38 retrofit projects, in partnership with Solano EDC, Solano Energy Watch and PG&E. Renovations were completed in both common areas and tenant spaces, to upgrade from fluorescent lighting technology to LED lighting. The combined projects are expected to yield an estimated annual savings of $276,000 in recurring energy costs. Solano Energy Watch was able to provide $198,000 in rebates to assist with project funding.
“Working with Solano County Economic Development, TEAA (The Energy Alliance Association), PG&E and all the team members on this project has been fantastic,” says Jennifer Nettles, general manager, Solano Town Center. “From an operational standpoint we’re thrilled with the results—more efficient, sustainably-responsive lighting results in lower expenses and is better for the environment. In terms of customer service the results couldn’t be better; we have a well-lit shopping center for our tenants and guests, retrofitted without any interruption to regular business.”
Jack Doelcher of Doelcher Lighting Innovations served as contractor, and Steven Walther of The Energy Alliance Association Inc. (TEAA) served as senior project manager.
