Leviton has launched its poke-through floor box, the latest addition to the company’s floor box portfolio. The new system is designed to ease installation, provide maximum compatibility and offer performance in any commercial application.
Featuring adjustable anchoring clips, Leviton’s poke-through floor box system eliminates a common installation issue that occurs when adjustments need to be made. With Leviton’s new device, installers simply loosen the anchoring clips to remove the device, allowing for major time savings when compared to existing solutions.
The new poke-through floor box system has several other design features that help ease installation, including a two-piece construction that allows the device to self-level up to four degrees, eliminating a potential tripping hazard and unpleasant aesthetics. Pre-wired covers are also available for an even faster installation.
Once installed, durable aluminum covers provide performance and are available in five different configurations in four powder-coated finishes. The covers exceed UL scrubwater testing, UL crush testing (300 pound) by over 300 percent and are ADA-compliant. The new system also has a door-in-door cover design on both the standard and pre-wired versions, which hides the flip lids and allows the cover to remain flush, even when the outlets are in use.
Leviton’s new poke-through floor box system offers maximum compatibility. The two-gang, 5-inch poke-through accommodates any standard or Leviton Decora single or duplex receptacle, as well as any Lev-Lok and QuickPort insert. The system features multiple low-voltage divider slots to accommodate different device widths.
Leviton’s new poke-through floor box system is backed by a five-year limited warranty and features a two-hour fire rating.
