Polyglass U.S.A. Inc. hosted the Wahneta Elementary school at the Polyglass plant in Winter Haven, Fla., for a field trip last year. As a part of the company culture and values to give back to the local community, Polyglass has maintained a good relationship with the school.
During a recent discussion with the school principal, Polyglass inquired if there were any ways the plant facility could offer assistance. The principal mentioned tight budget constraints and asked if Polyglass might consider helping with the parking lot striping before the school year started. In response, Polyglass collaborated with local community contractors to provide support for the school’s requirements.
Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Polyglass stepped up without hesitation, understanding the importance of a safe and organized parking lot for the students and staff, especially during the back-to-school rush.
“With school starting Aug. 11, Wahneta Elementary was in a bind to get the striping completed,” said Mat Snell, senior corporate engineering manager. “We were able to reach out to local vendors and expedite the project completion prior to the start of school. We’re delighted to share that the principal expressed heartfelt gratitude for Polyglass’ generous contribution and urgency to this project.”
