Knight Wall Systems Inc. has announced it will be partnering with Resysta to provide a new range of modern cladding for its line of continuous- and mineral fiber-insulation rain screen systems.
Resysta is a highly sustainable, weather-resistant composite cladding product that closely resembles tropical wood and is highly durable and virtually impervious to water. The reinforced hybrid material is produced of approximately 60 percent rice husk, 22 percent common salt, and 18 percent mineral oil, which makes it environmentally friendly and extremely weather resistant against sun, rain, snow or salt water. At the same time, Resysta requires minimal care and offers the look, feel and workability of wood.
“Resysta is an ideal partner for Knight Wall Systems in that it delivers both sustainability and modern design applications,” says Doug Knight, Knight Wall Systems’ president. “But it’s not a custom-fabricated product, and contractors and carpenters can install it themselves. Its simplicity is part of its appeal.”
Knight Wall Systems is a subsidiary of Knight Construction and Supply Inc., in business since 1968, serving commercial, industrial and institutional customers throughout the Pacific Northwest. The firm has more than 100 employees at its eastern Washington headquarters and manufacturing facility.
