A. O. Smith Announces Dates for April Virtual Training

A. O. Smith announces April dates for its highly-attended live virtual training classes. The A. O. Smith University schedule changes from month-to-month, offering sessions on a variety of topics, including residential, commercial, tankless and heat pump water heaters.

April classes will include the following:

April 5, 8 a.m. CDT: Residential Training, Residential Electric

April 6, 8 a.m. CDT: Commercial Training, Commercial Electric

April 7, 8 a.m. CDT: Tankless Training, Tankless Installation

April 14, 8 a.m. CDT: Commercial Training, Heavy-Duty Commercial

April 14, 10 a.m. CDT: Commercial Training, Heavy-Duty Commercial

April 19, 8 a.m. CDT: Residential Training, Residential Heat Pump

April 20, 8 a.m. CDT: Commercial Contractor, Commercial Heat Pump

April 21, 8 a.m. CDT: Tankless Training, Application, How it Works, Troubleshooting

April 28, 8 a.m. CDT: Residential Training, Standard Gas

Most classes have shifted to a virtual learning format to accommodate the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The state-of-the-art broadcast studio in Ashland City allows instructors to provide real-time, full-scope demonstrations on a range of A. O. Smith products, while attendees continue to receive the benefits of hands-on training in a virtual environment.

“At A. O. Smith, we strive to ensure we’re providing our customers with top-tier training on the industry’s newest technologies,” says Jason Leonard, A. O. Smith marketing technology and training manager. “This month, our class schedule will focus on tankless training. Tankless technology continues to evolve, and we want to make sure our customers are armed with the latest information relevant to technology, installation, application, troubleshooting and more.”

A. O. Smith has two premier training facilities, located in Ashland City and Johnson City, Tenn., which have held primarily virtual training sessions over the past two years with more than 130,000 combined participants. Both facilities are used to train technicians, contractors, plumbers and other customer representatives on a variety of products and topics.

Classes are taught on a two-way meeting platform, and there is a 50-person cap placed on all sessions to ensure participants have a high level of engagement with instructors, as well as the opportunity to ask questions. This approach helps maintain A. O. Smith University’s focus on technique and skill to help grow contractors’ careers.
