American Institute of Architects Announces BIM Software Program

The American Institute of Architects, California Council, (AIACC), has announced the AIACC BIM Software Member Value Program.  This program was initiated due to response and feedback from small firms requesting access to BIM software solutions. AIACC has partnered with GRAPHISOFT to provide BIM tools and training to assist in the delivery of architectural services in shaping high performing buildings and spaces.

Participating AIACC members will receive preferential pricing on perpetual software licenses, training, and a supportive group model to provide comradery and networking with others who are also adopters of the software. All AIACC members considering moving from another platform and those interested in exploring options to resources they may already have in hand are eligible to participate in this offer. “One of the foundational tools in the practice of architecture is the use of software to create drawings of buildings or places, and that is integrated BIM software,” said 2016 AIACC President, Michael Malinowski, AIA.

“We’re pleased to support the AIACC efforts to promote BIM adoption throughout their membership,” said Steve Benford, GRAPHISOFT North America managing director. “ARCHICAD is an option, particularly for small firms looking to take advantage of the benefits of BIM.”

This program runs through December 31, 2016.
