Chelsea Building Products is expanding its network of distributors to now include Hood Distribution’s newly opened Hagerstown, Md., location for the distribution of its premier line of siding, Everlast advanced composite siding.
Hood is a wholesale specialty building products distributor with 14 locations in the eastern U.S. and one southwestern facility. With this latest agreement, Chelsea and Hood expand their Everlast siding distribution agreement to include the Hood Hagerstown location that opened in the summer of 2022.
Hood Hagerstown will carry both Everlast Lap Siding in the 7-inch plank and the Board & Batten profile in 8 colors.
“Chelsea has been a strong business partner of ours for several years,” says Allen Smith, regional manager at the Hood Hagerstown branch. “We have had success with Everlast siding at all of our locations in the eastern United States, and we are excited to make the product more widely available to builders and homeowners in Hagerstown and the surrounding regions.”
Due to its exceptional water- and fade-resistance, Everlast siding is ideal for Mid-Atlantic climates such as Maryland’s that experience hot, humid summers and then a shift to cold and snowy winter seasons. The product consists of a thick and solid composite substrate called C CORE material that is made from a blend of inorganic mineral fragments and polymer resins that makes it virtually impervious to water.
“Our goal is to make Everlast siding available to as many homeowners across the country, and partnerships with industry-leading distributors are key in doing so,” says Gary Hartman, vice president of sales and marketing at Chelsea Building Products. “We are excited to add a new Hood location to our roster of distributors and penetrate the siding market even further with our high-performance products.”
Hood Distribution has been selling Everlast siding since 2016. The partnership with the distributor’s Hagerstown location began in the summer of 2022.
