The 2023 Wildfire Season started off with a bang, heavily impacting the East Coast. A thick layer of wildfire smoke covered New York City, extending to most states east of the Mississippi.
Dynamic Air Quality Solutions’ corporate headquarters in Princeton, N.J., was severely impacted by the smoke from the Canadian Wildfires, which started in May 2023. New York and many other surrounding states issued a state of emergency due to hazardous air-quality index levels. Dynamic AQS tested the smoke impacting the area both outside and inside the breathing zone of the facility. The testing, analysis, and findings reflect real-world results from the Dynamic V8 Air Cleaning System and the ability to remediate smoke conditions.

When the New York Times begins tracking air quality in the wake of wildfires, you know it’s a critical situation. In early June, the level of particulate matter in the air from wildfire smoke set records in many U.S. cities. By the end of June, Air Quality Index readings were at 150 to 200, with certain areas in the Great Lakes region and in Iowa registering in the 200s. AQI readings of 100 or higher indicate people with respiratory conditions should take precautions.
