Furniture Stores Update Exterior with Aluminum Composite Panels

Furniture Row Companies chose aluminum composite panels for a modern, sleek design that would update and rebrand several of its locations.

Previously clad with weathered wooden planks, Furniture Row Companies, the parent company of Denver Sofa Mart, Oak Express, Denver Mattress and Bedroom Expressions, was looking for a modern, sleek design to update and rebrand several of its current locations.

Starting with the Aurora, Colo., location, Intergroup Architects, Littleton, Colo., selected Laminators’ Omega-Lite ACM panels to meet a quick turnaround time and the panels’ ability to use multiple installation methods as developed by the panel manufacturer. The overall look and consistency of the aluminum composite panels was also important in making the architect and building owner’s final decision.

Precision Contractors of Englewood, Colo., installed the panels using Laminators’ 1-Piece, Tight-Fit installation system. Because of the versatility of the Omega-Lite panels and the ability to use multiple installation methods, the installers were able to use a combination of their own installation methods to easily achieve the design that the architect intended to showcase. Using contrasting colors on the panels and mouldings, the design of the building provides a visually interesting and welcoming display for Furniture Row customers.
