Pros say they rely on their suppliers and retailers more than they did a year ago, not only to save money, but for services that save them time getting supplies and materials*. Having easy access to the tools and products Pros need—when they need them—can be crucial to efficiently completing projects and ultimately saving on their bottom lines. In response to these needs, Lowe’s is announcing the official rollout of three Pro offerings:
- Purchase Authorization: This new tool enables account holders to provide a QR code to a designated runner for in-store purchases and pick-ups, with set time and spending limits. This creates a fast and seamless in-store checkout process, with no more credit card handoffs or confirmation phone calls needed – a historically time-consuming process that takes Pros away from the job site. This feature is available now for MVPs Pro Rewards and Partnership Program members in the Lowe’s app.
- In this week’s Q2 2023 Earnings call, Joe McFarland, Lowe’s executive vice president of Stores, notes: “This solution addresses a pain point for many Pro customers and our Pro desk associates and leapfrogs the competition. And we’re encouraged to see that our suite of online tools [has] resonated with Pros and adoption is already exceeding our expectations.”
- Klein Tools now in store: Following the initial partnership announcement earlier this year, Klein Tools products are now available in Lowe’s stores and on Lowes.com, with the widest selection of Klein Tools anywhere in the home improvement retail channel, including hand tools, storage, safety and electrical products.
- Lowe’s, in partnership with OneRail, is expanding Same-Day Delivery service nationwide for orders placed on Lowes.com and the Lowe’s mobile app, providing fast and convenient delivery in a matter of hours, straight to Pro job sites.
