Rexel, a worldwide electrical distributor, has been named one of the “World’s Most Admired Companies” according to FORTUNE magazine’s 2013 annual survey. Rexel ranked third in the Wholesalers: Diversified category, up from fourth place in 2012, reflecting the company’s growing worldwide reputation supported by the launch of the company’s Energy in Motion corporate plan in the first quarter of last year. The Rexel Group, which is headquartered in Paris, also ranked 10th among the 25 French companies selected to the list.
“We are delighted to be included again this year in this prestigious annual survey and honored to have been recognized by our peers in the distribution sector as a leading worldwide player. With the launch of Energy in Motion last May, we outlined a strategic company plan based on the four strategic pillars of profitable growth, active resource management, a culture of cooperation and achieving excellence in operations. This accolade is testament to the success of that plan,” says Rudy Provoost, chairman of the Management Board and CEO, Rexel.
Chris Hartmann, executive vice president and CEO of Rexel Holdings USA adds, “Our continued commitment to our customers, suppliers and our employees is at the heart of our mission, and I am glad that it has been recognized by this acknowledgement from FORTUNE.”
The results from FORTUNE magazine’s “World’s Most Admired Companies” survey are published in the March issue.
