Steel Stone Coated Roofs Are CRRC-rated

Westlake Royal Roofing Solutions has launched two all-new Unified Steel Stone Coated Roofing colors, which are rated by the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC). The new colors, Harborwood and Stirling Gray, are offered in both PINE-CREST Shake and PACIFIC tile profiles.

The new Unified Steel CRRC-rated colors are stone-coated steel roofing options which provide high solar reflectivity and high thermal emittance when solar energy hits the roof surface.

The new Unified Steel CRRC-rated colors are stone-coated steel roofing options which provide high solar reflectivity and high thermal emittance when solar energy hits the roof surface. Thus, they detract sunlight and radiate heat off the roof surface.

Harborwood and Stirling Grey both exceed California Energy Code (CEC) Title 24 Part 6 Cool Roof Requirements and, with a Solar Reflective Index, or SRI, greater than 20, also meet LA County’s more stringent SRI requirements.

Unified Steel Stone Coated Roofing is a solution offering durability, performance and resistance to severe weather. A lightweight option at just 1.5 pounds-per-square-foot, the material benefits from the structural strength of steel. When paired with Above Sheathing Ventilation (ASV), Unified Steel provides enhanced energy efficiency performance. All Unified Steel products are Very Severe Hail (VSH) rated, offer a Class A Fire Rating (when used with designated accompanying underlay materials) and are Hurricane Performance Rated with Miami-Dade County HVHZ Approval, the most stringent hurricane resistance standard in the country.
