Universal Lighting Technologies Inc. has announced it is offering a LED Linear Applications course through its Universal University online education program.
This course aims to provide electrical distributors an overview of the LED linear market, a summary of Universal’s LED linear options and a review of commercial applications.
“Today we are seeing demand for retrofit linear solutions that convert existing fluorescent to LED,” said Susan Phillips, director of marketing at Universal Lighting Technologies. “This course is designed to give lighting professionals an understanding of LED linear lighting solutions so they can make a LED recommendation to their clients.”
Lighting represents 35 percent or more of energy costs in commercial applications, which utilize less efficient fluorescent systems. To make energy efficient LED upgrades, Universal Lighting Technologies has developed the EVERLINE LED Linear Retrofit Continuum, a series of product solutions designed to replace existing fluorescent lamp technology.
The Universal University course introduces enrollees to EVERLINE LED linear product solutions and presents applications alongside the advantages of LED linear technology including energy efficiency, long lifetime, color consistency and dimming functionality.
Universal University offers eight educational courses, free to lighting professionals, covering topics related to lighting solutions and LED replacement options. The courses are shared via BlueVolt, an online education interface. To learn more about Universal University or to view course options visit here.
