Frameless Hardware Company LLC (FHC) has announced the addition of another product to its portfolio of glass entrance system solutions. The FHC Advance VDS Vertical Door Stile (patent pending) offers the same performance characteristics of traditional vertical door stiles, but with the distinction of an expedited installation process. This is made possible by FHC’s proprietary Advance Unitizing Gasket, which eliminates the hassle of installing clamping jaws separately from the stile housing and inserts onto the glass panel’s edge as a one-piece assembly. The mechanical clamping system eliminates the use of tapes and sealants, as this is a true dry attachment system that can be adjusted and removed just as easily as it is installed.
Manufactured in the U.S.A., FHC Advance VDS Vertical Door Stiles reduce glass deflection and add rigidity, allowing for the taller entrances sought after by architects and designers. The narrow sightlines of Advance VDS also serve as a design element with six stock premium finishes and custom options available. In addition to aesthetics, the Advance VDS system also mitigates air infiltration and sound transmission. For use with 1/2-, 9/16-, 3/4-, or 13/16-inch glass, FHC Advance VDS Vertical Door Stile Kits are available in stock sizes and can also be custom fabricated to specification. The system is designed for use with FHC’s Herc-Door Rails.
FHC offers technical support, product selection and design assist services in addition to specifications and drawings to support these architectural systems.
