Viewrail has received an evaluation report from ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) for its FLIGHT floating stair system. The ICC-ES evaluation report ESR-4797 provides evidence that FLIGHT meets code requirements, therefore easing and expediting the home building process.
“The certification instills confidence in builders, not only assuring them they are using a great product, but it gets them past all the compliance and building inspection hurdles,” says Len Morris, Viewrail owner and CEO.
ICC-ES thoroughly examined Viewrail’s product information, test reports, calculations, quality control methods and other factors to ensure the product is code-compliant. The ICC-ES Evaluation Reports are used to provide a basis for using or approving certified products in construction projects; most notably by building officials, architects, contractors, specifiers, designers and others.
Viewrail is the first company in the United States to earn this certification. “Being the first company in the country to earn this certification solidifies Viewrail as a true leader in the industry,” Morris says. “We’re providing our clients with a WOW experience from designing, manufacturing, delivering, and to installation.”
“Product evaluation reports (ESRs) from ICC-ES are the result of an industry-leading, independent and innovative process that is trusted by code officials and builders alike,” says Eric Polzin of ICC-ES. “ICC-ES ESRs are the most widely accepted in the industry for determination of code compliance.”
Proprietary glass hardware, manufactured by Viewrail, also recently received an evaluation report ESR-4799 from ICC-ES, providing evidence that the Base Rail, Surface Talons, Standoff Pins and accompanying hardware meet code requirements.
Viewrail also received full ICC Certification for all cable and rod infill when used with Surface Mounted Posts and Universal Top metal handrail options.
