MATERIALS

Graphic Encounter Fine Art (GEFA) was chosen to take on the challenge of creating seven unique large-format works of art that would become the focal point of the restaurant while being sensitive to the fact that no specific budget had been established for the art. GEFA’s creative team elected to use a mix of vibrant colors and intense designs that were applied to the #2 and #4 surfaces of ultra-transparent, low-iron glass to achieve the truest color and give depth to the design. The Alice direct-to-glass printing process yields high-resolution imaging, varying levels of opacity; the ceramic frit paint that is fused into the glass upon tempering ensures lasting color and quality. Each work of art is backlit with optical-grade LED lighting that truly brings to life the creative vision of David Jordan Williams.
