Following the guidance that nonessential travel and large, in-person meetings should be avoided in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) is transitioning its Spring Committee Meeting to a virtual format in lieu of meeting in College Park, Md., from March 16-18.
There is no higher priority to NFRC than the safety of its members and employees, and their families as well as the general public. After closely monitoring the CDC’s recommendations for mass gatherings and the recent declaration of a state of emergency in Maryland, NFRC shifted its meeting to an online format that will be held on Tuesday, March 17 and Wednesday, March 18. The agenda for the virtual meeting includes committee and subcommittee meetings as well as balloting sessions. All other sessions originally scheduled will be postponed until further notice.
“The Corona Virus is top of mind for all of us. We are concerned about the health and safety of our members and the general public as federal, state and local officials try to contain the spread of COVID-19,” says NFRC CEO Deborah Callahan. “We have the capabilities to seamlessly transition to an online meeting platform that will allow members to participate in our committee meetings as well as provide the latest trends in energy efficiency of windows, doors, and skylights.”
Here is the link to register to attend the virtual meeting, and please register no later than Friday, March 13. NFRC is providing a full refund to meeting registrants. Refunds will be processed in the order in which the registration was received.
